Fuego Sagrado de Itzachilatlan

The legacy

Our essential purpose is to ensure the continuity of a way of life and sustain the sacred sequence of passing the path to our children and future generations.

Passing on the tradition

First medicine

Sacred Tobacco

Tobacco is native to the Americas and, within this path, is the first medicine and first sacrament: the messenger that carries the voice toward the four directions. During ceremonies it is placed on a corn husk to raise a prayer and express the purpose that calls us to be present.

Representation of the cycle of life

Continuity

For all our relations

Passing on these teachings means keeping alive a respectful relationship with the earth, fire, master plants, community and the spirit of all things.
