Our Mission
The Nation of the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan is an ecumenical organization. It is the current expression of the philosophy, culture and spirituality of the original American peoples. It responds to the ancestral mandate, dreams and visions of the ancient prophets and seers, men and women of knowledge who foresaw the return of our way of life in these times through ceremonies such as the ceremony of the Sacred Tobacco (Sayri Tupac), ceremony of the Sacred Pipe, ceremony of Temazcal or Inipi, ceremony of medicine in the Sacred Fire of the Crescent Moon, the sacred ceremony of the Quest of Vision of the Mountain and the Dances... A way of life sustained in the guidance and orientation of the master plants such as Ayahuasca, Huachumo (San Pedro), Peyotl, Teonanacatl (Mushrooms)...
Fred Ulfe Huaynapicchu (Young Mountain) is the repository of these ancient customs that we call tradition; Young Mountain has the mission to help to walk the path along the lines of the heart. A path that shows and teaches the right way to live through humility, will, sincerity and integrity as fundamental principles.

SACRED FIRE OF ITZACHILATLAN IN PERU
Frederick Ulfe (Huaynapicchu)
Spiritual Leader and Medicine Man
Frederick Ulfe was born in the decade of the 70's in Pacasmayo (Pakatnamú, native language) in the northern coast of Peru, in front of the sea, territory of the traditional pre-Inca Moche and Chimú cultures. Whose spiritual name is Huaynapicchu which means Young Mountain, is the Leader of the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan (SFI) in Peru, a Spiritual Nation that aims to rescue, preserve and disseminate the Native American cultural and philosophical tradition.
Fred Ulfe is a person who, unquestionably, was chosen by the elders of the past and present to be the depositary of the ceremonies, rites and dances, a way, a whole way of life transmitted by Curacas, Onayas and healers. Those Peruvians, men and women of knowledge that he was able to meet in his life.
At a very early age his encounter with the master plants as the Sacred Tobacco (Sairy) and the sacred Huachumo (San Pedro) just when he was 9 years old. This marked the beginning of a path that will end, according to him, with his last breath.
For someone who since his childhood recognized the thirst for peace and always sought to quench it. Life did not take long to answer his call when, at the end of the 1980s, he began studying social sciences at the University National Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) in Lima. The university's cathedrals and the trenching of books were just the beginning of his encounter with spirituality. However, his return to the path of our ancestors began in the early 1990s.
Even today in Peru, it is still possible to visit as it was five hundred years ago, the main Living Sanctuary, Ceremonial Center and initiatory cradle of the northern curanderismo around the Master Plant of Huachumo. This magical and fantastic place is known as Las Lagunas de las Huaringas de Huancabamba in the heights of Piura, northern coast of Peru. Great enclave of power of traditional healing arts. Masters like Don Francisco Guarnizo, Sebastián Camizán, Cipriano Zurita Nayra knew how to give Fred Ulfe his first instructions.
His meeting with Don Eduardo Calderón Palomino, known as TUNO, from the coastal city of Moche in Trujillo, also a northern region, was providential. Together with them Fred Ulfe began to remember and establish his identity and ancestral spiritual lineage.
As expected, from the coast, the sea and the mountains, he entered the vast and magical Amazonian forests, the domains of Ayahuasca. Hand in hand with Antonio Muñoz and his father, Don Martin Muñoz, Onayas, distant healers, Fred Ulfe undertook the winding paths of the great anaconda, the black caiman and the eagle Arpia, with them, the mysteries of the jungle.
Finally, Martin Paucar, priest of the Q’ero nation, a living lineage of the original Inka people. All this constituted the great anteroom for the remarkable encounter with the one who would become his mentor and father, the one who introduced and taught him the mystery of the Sacred Fire of the Crescent Moon of the dream of “Crazy Horse”, Aurelio Díaz Tekpankalli of Mexican nationality, Spiritual Head and World Leader and founder of the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan, order and lineage to which Fred Ulfe Huaynapicchu owes what he is today.
With the ordination as Spiritual Leader and Medicine Man in 2000, Fred Ulfe “Young Mountain” assumed the honorable mission of taking a MESSAGE OF PEACE around the world through its ceremonies and its portentous sacraments such as TOBACCO, PEYOTL, TEONANACATL, HUACHUMO, AYAHUASKA, CAMALONGA, COCA LEAF…
Fred Ulfe “Young Mountain”, leads and conducts different Ceremonies like Temazcal and Inipi, Open Fire Medicine and Mountain Vision Quest. Likewise, he has been participating as an international representative in various spiritual encounters of the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan: Vision Quest Ceremonies, Sun Dances Ceremonies, Spirit Dance Ceremonies; in Peru, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil and Mexico, from 2002 to the present.
With over 30 years of experience, today we have a man who is a brother, a son, a father but overall a master for the humanity.
